Well, there are a couple ways to go about doing it. The easiest way is to check ebay for people selling scans of the Spider-Man 2 pattern. Most of these patterns require some color correction, and they lack brick definition in the dark blue areas. For some people like OVDH (Ollie) the lack of bricks in the darker areas is no problem.
If you want to create your own pattern, I still recommend obtaining a copy of the scans, because they are an invaluable reference guide for size and shading. You will probably want to get a copy of Adobe Photoshop (Or similar graphics program), especially if you are looking to create your own manipulated brick pattern.
The next thing you have to do is decide whether you are going to modify the scans, or create your own pattern from scratch. If you modify the scans, you have to decide how much you are going to modify. People who choose this route generally remove the current brick definition in the blue areas and replace it with their own, instead of trying to match their brick pattern to the one created by the studios. First you will need bricks to manipulate. For this, I would recommend creating a file consisting of a sample section of bricks, and set them as a pattern, then overlay that pattern on top of the areas you wish to put bricks on. In order to actually manipulate your brick pattern, you will probably want to become proficient at using the "Liquify" filter and all of the tools within it. And although it is not the only way to manipulate the bricks, it is the most commonly used method.
If you wish to start a pattern from scratch, you will need a few different layers: Base colors and shape, Muscle Shading, and Manipulated Bricks (Created through techniques similar to those described above). After a lot of trial and error you should have a product you can be proud of.
I would recommend obtaining a lot of reference materials on the actual costume itself so that you can better choose colors, brick size, etc.
Well, that should keep you busy for a while. I hope it helps, and welcome to Spidey Replicas.
