Hey, figure we could use a thread to look over different methods for webbing. From what i've been reading here, people have either been using the casted webbing like bob c and ollie or using tulip paint or jones tones ( i think thats it) on mine, i personally grabbed a bottle of liquid latex stuff from spideyfan43. It was really easy to apply (though not quite perfect in terms of straightness... my fault though) here is a pic of my mask spidyfan43 webbing and lenses if anyone else can post pics of how their lenses look, what they were made of, where they got it, or if they're willing to sell, etc. it'd be a nice reference for people instead of making them read through the 400 some pages on SHH.

haha yeah... it was a candid photo my gf took while someone called me. anyway... how does the tulip paint look comparably? Can you post a picture? I read from a fabric site that the tulip paint should be applied in short lengths. Did you do this? How well does it hold?

Hello
Anyone know how high off the spandex and how wide is the webbing on the movie suit?
Or for the guys that actually made the latex webbing? how high and wide have you guys made yours?

can anyone tell me how the webbing in the pic at the top of the page looks compared to say tulip paint or any other alternatives?
I tried some silver/metallic tulip paint but it was a bit too silver shiny and not the kinda gray it generally seems to be. However, it did hold its form quite nicely. However, i have yet to actually apply it to any red material to see how it looks comparatively. Anyone have any pictures with whatever they use?

My current suit webbing is silver/metalic tulip paint. It is however breaking and pealing off. But then again I'm pretty rough on my suit. ;D

Does anyone know the width and hight of the spiderman II webbing cast from the mold. Any details regarding molding webbing would be appreciated. I know its done with a CNC milling machine. If anyone has used or is using a CNC mill what material do would use for the mold? I found this picture today. Pretty Cool. ;D

so what do you guys think? if im going for tulip paint on my costume... would it be easier to apply it first and then sew (or course finishing the pieces around the seams later)? or to sew it together and then apply it?
